Message from the President of the ESC
Modern-day developments in society and the economy are a
serious field for scientific, social and political consideration both on
the international and the european level. Thus, the European
Economic and Social Committee, along with the national Economic
and Social Councils, have the task of studying the constantly
evolving economic and social reality and formulating well founded
proposals aiming to promote economic and social development.
Their basic tool is social dialogue aimed at strengthening social consultation, consensus and co-responsibility, leading to progress for countries and building prosperity for citizens.
The Economic and Social Council of Greece, as the institutional expression of society, is dedicated, operating on the social and scientific level, to make the social dialogue in Greek society more meaningful and more effective.
